The Feuling 7257 HP+ Reaper 472 Chain Drive Camchest Kit provides a complete cam chest solution for water-cooled Milwaukee-Eight engines. Feuling designs every component to work together as a matched system. As a result, this kit removes guesswork from the ordering process and helps engine builders achieve reliable performance.

472 Reaper Camshaft Overview
The Reaper 472 camshaft offers a strong balance of torque and top-end power. It suits riders who want more output than the 465 profile while keeping a bolt-in setup. The cam delivers solid low-end response and adds noticeable power above mid-range RPM when compared to stock.
In addition, this cam responds well to increased displacement, higher compression, performance exhaust systems, and high-flow air cleaners. While upgraded valve springs are not required, performance springs may further improve valvetrain stability and reduce noise.
Oil Level & Setup Notes
Proper oil level plays a key role in system performance. For this reason, Feuling recommends running the oil level slightly lower once the engine reaches full operating temperature.
Recommended procedure:

Check oil level when cold

Ride the motorcycle until it reaches operating temperature

Shut the engine off while keeping the bike upright
-
Place the bike on the kickstand and check the oil level
-
Add or remove oil as needed
Do not overfill the oil tank.
Important Installation Information
An experienced technician should install this kit using a factory service manual and proper tools. Before installation, measure crankshaft runout and pinion shaft end play. Excessive runout or end play can cause damage and will void the manufacturer warranty.
Recommended measurements:

Crankshaft runout at or below 0.003″

Ideal end play between 0.003″ and 0.004″
If measurements exceed these limits, do not install the cam plate or oil pump.
Tuning Recommendation
Because airflow and fuel needs change with this upgrade, an aftermarket tuning system is strongly recommended. If you already use an aftermarket tuner, a compatible base map can be supplied with purchase.
