A NOTE ABOUT GASKETS:  Depending on the condition of your cam cover gasket, you may/may not need to replace it during your install.  Since Lifters can be replaced from the bottom on Milwaukee Eight models, you do not have to replace the lifter block gaskets when adding lifters.  Add gaskets in the drop down menu.

M8 Feuling Reaper Chain Drive Cam Chest – Stage 2 Performance Upgrade

Fitment

This cam chest fits 2017-Newer Harley-Davidson® Touring Models & Tri-Glides® as well as 2018-Newer Softail® Models.


Overview

The M8 Feuling Reaper Chain Drive Cam Chest is built for riders who want stronger power delivery, improved throttle response, and long-term reliability. Because real-world performance matters, this package combines proven components that work together as a system.

This setup includes a Feuling Reaper camshaft and S&S Quickee adjustable pushrods. Additionally, riders can add high-quality upgrades listed below to create a truly bulletproof cam chest that matches their riding style and performance goals.


Included Components

Feuling Reaper Chain Drive Camshaft (M8)

The Feuling Reaper camshaft delivers increased horsepower and torque throughout the usable riding RPM range. As a result, throttle response improves while acceleration feels stronger and more consistent.

Furthermore, the smooth cam lobe ramps reduce valvetrain stress, which helps eliminate excessive noise and wear over time. Because every build is different, the included cam matrix makes it easy to choose the best cam option for horsepower, torque, or a balanced combination of both.

S&S Quickee Adjustable Pushrods

Cycle Solutions Inc. uses S&S Quickee pushrods in every cam chest we build because they offer strength, serviceability, and ease of installation. More importantly, they allow quick engine access if future service is ever required.

These pushrods are made from chrome moly steel, which provides excellent durability under high load. In addition, the oil-through design ensures proper lubrication to the top end components.

Kit includes:

  • 4 adjustable pushrods

  • 4 pushrod covers

  • Required O-rings

Installation is straightforward. First, thread the adjuster into the pushrod until it disengages. Then, install the shortened pushrod. After installation, pull the adjuster down, re-engage the threads, and set the adjustment. Finally, lock the nut in place to prevent movement.


Optional Upgrades for Maximum Performance

Feuling HP+ Oiling System

Oil is the lifeblood of any engine. For that reason, the Feuling HP+ Oiling System dramatically improves oil pressure, oil volume, and oil scavenging. As a result, wet sumping is reduced while engine and oil temperatures drop.

Testing shows:

  • 25–35° cooler engine temperatures

  • 15–30° cooler oil temperatures

  • 15–30 PSI increase in oil pressure

  • Quieter and smoother engine operation

  • Gains of approximately 3 HP and 4 ft-lbs of torque

Additionally, Feuling camplates are machined from 7075 aluminum, which is stronger than factory and many aftermarket options. Because oil passages are enlarged and matched to the engine case, oil flow improves to lifters, piston cooling jets, crankshaft, and rod bearings.

HP+ kits include:

  • High-flow billet camplate

  • High-volume billet oil pump

  • HP+ hydraulic roller lifters

  • Complete gasket and O-ring kit


Feuling HP+ Hydraulic Lifters

Cycle Solutions Inc. installs Feuling HP+ lifters in approximately 90% of our cam chest builds because factory lifters are already known to fail. Therefore, upgrading lifters during a cam install is highly recommended.

These lifters optimize oil flow to the top end, which helps cool valve springs, rocker arms, and valve guides. Consequently, wear is reduced and component life is extended.

  • Drop-in replacement for stock lifters

K&P Engineering Lifetime Oil Filter / Cooler

Because Harley engines run hot, improving oil cooling is always beneficial. The K&P Engineering Lifetime Oil Filter is a washable, reusable billet aluminum filter that flows oil faster than traditional paper filters.

Additionally, the increased cooling surface area helps lower oil temperatures while maintaining excellent filtration.

Recommended sizes:

  • S44 XL: 20% more cooling than the S4, 3.57″ long

  • S69 XXXL: 100% more cooling surface, 5 1/8″ long

However, if your motorcycle has a crank position sensor at the oil filter location, you must use the S4 or S44 size. Other finishes are available upon request.


Inner Cam Bearings (Torrington®)

Cam change kits include genuine Torrington® full-complement inner cam bearings, which are far superior to factory bearings. Because bearing failure can cause catastrophic engine damage, upgrading is strongly recommended.

These bearings install best with specialty tools. However, installation is still possible without them if needed. Removal and installation tools are available separately.


Feuling Cam Chain Drive Sprocket

Factory sprockets often fit loosely due to over-machined pinion shafts. As a result, crankshaft timing can vary by several degrees.

The Feuling cam chain drive sprocket solves this issue by using a tighter-tolerance machined steel design. Therefore, timing remains consistent with no unwanted play on the crankshaft.


S&S Tappet Cuffs / Lifter Guides

Factory plastic tappet guides allow movement under heavy load. In contrast, S&S tappet cuffs keep tappets aligned even during high-RPM operation.

Features include:

  • Billet aluminum construction

  • Hard-anodized black finish

  • Maintains proper tappet alignment

  • Easy upgrade during cam changes

Note: Always verify tappet-to-cuff clearance due to manufacturer tolerances.
