A NOTE ABOUT GASKETS:  Depending on the condition of your cam cover gasket, you may/may not need to replace it during your install.  You will need to replace the lifter/tappet block gaskets if you are adding lifters.  Add gaskets in the drop down menu.

This Feuling Cam Chest Upgrade Kit helps you build a strong, reliable, and smooth-running cam chest designed for real-world riding. It focuses on usable RPM where torque, throttle response, and durability matter most. As a result, riders get consistent performance without sacrificing longevity.

What’s Included in This Cam Chest Upgrade

This kit includes your choice of Feuling Reaper Cams, S&S Quickee Adjustable Pushrods, and Zippers Red Shift Dual Piston Cam Chain Tensioners. Together, these components form a dependable foundation that improves both performance and reliability.


Feuling Reaper Cams

Feuling designs Reaper Cams to produce power in the RPM range riders actually use. The wide lobe separation creates a broad and usable powerband. At the same time, smoother cam lobe ramps reduce stress on valve-train components and limit wear.

This design delivers:

S&S Quickee Adjustable Pushrods

Cycle Solutions Inc. installs S&S Quickee Pushrods in every cam chest we build because they simplify future service while maintaining strength. Their adjustable design allows quick access to the engine without removing the top end.

Key features include:

  • Chrome moly steel construction for durability

  • Simple adjustment and easy removal

  • Four pushrods, pushrod covers, and O-rings included

  • Oil-through ball ends to lubricate the top end

  • Locknuts that hold adjustments securely

Because of this design, technicians complete installation faster and owners gain long-term service flexibility.


Zippers Red Shift Dual Piston Cam Chain Tensioners

Zippers engineered the Red Shift Dual Piston Cam Chain Tensioners to correct the weaknesses found in factory tensioners. These units control both the drive and driven cam chains more accurately.

They provide:

  • Improved cam timing accuracy

  • Better valve-train control

  • Reduced chain instability and engine noise

  • Long service life rated up to 100,000 miles

  • Improved throttle response and smoother acceleration

For these reasons, Cycle Solutions Inc. replaces factory tensioners in every cam chest upgrade.


Optional Upgrades to Take Your Cam Chest Further

These additional components help riders maximize oil control, durability, and overall performance. While optional, each upgrade adds measurable value to the build.


CSR Cam Plate

The cam plate serves as the foundation of the cam chest, so design quality matters. The CSR Cam Plate controls oil pressure more effectively than a stock cam plate. This improved control raises idle oil pressure and reduces engine noise.

Benefits include:

  • Precision oil pressure relief valve design

  • Controlled 42 lb pop-off pressure

  • Increased idle oil pressure from 7% to 12–14%

  • Cooler and thicker oil at idle

  • Bronze cam bearings for tighter tolerances

If you plan only one upgrade, this cam plate delivers the biggest improvement per dollar.


Feuling HP+ Oiling System

Oil keeps an engine alive. Therefore, the Feuling HP+ Oiling System increases oil pressure, oil volume, and return scavenging. This system reduces wet sumping and lowers operating temperatures.

Test results show:

  • Engine temperatures drop by 25–35°

  • Oil temperatures drop by 15–30°

  • Oil pressure increases by 15–30 psi

  • Engine operation becomes quieter and smoother

  • Rear-wheel gains of 3 HP and 4 ft-lbs of torque

HP+ kits include a billet cam plate, high-volume oil pump, hydraulic roller lifters, and all required gaskets.


Feuling HP+ Lifters

Cycle Solutions Inc. installs Feuling HP+ Lifters in 90% of our cam chest builds because they outperform stock lifters in both durability and oil control. These lifters use hardened rollers instead of coated rollers, which reduces wear.

Advantages include:

  • Improved oil flow to the top end

  • Lower valve and cylinder head temperatures

  • Reduced valve-train wear

  • Drop-in replacement design

  • Made in the USA

Since stock lifters often show early failure, this upgrade adds long-term reliability.


K&P Engineering Lifetime Oil Filter / Cooler

This billet aluminum oil filter allows oil to flow faster than paper filters while increasing oil cooling. Riders can wash and reuse it, which lowers maintenance costs over time.

Available sizes include:

  • S44 XL – 20% more cooling surface area

  • S69 XXXL – 100% more cooling surface area

However, motorcycles with a crank position sensor near the oil filter require the S44 or S4 size. Because Harley engines run hot, this filter helps control oil temperatures.


Feuling OE+ Oil Pump

Feuling OE+ oil pumps move more oil and return it to the tank faster than stock pumps. Dry sump engines make more power when oil stays out of the crankcase, so this upgrade improves both performance and efficiency.

Features include:

  • 6061 billet aluminum construction

  • High-flow chrome moly gerotor gears

  • 10% increase in oil pressure

  • 16% increase in scavenge return volume

  • Quieter engine operation

Important: You must upgrade the cam plate when upgrading the oil pump.


Inner Cam Bearings

This kit includes Torrington® full-complement inner cam bearings, which offer superior strength compared to factory bearings. These bearings reduce the risk of internal engine damage.

Proper tools simplify installation and help prevent damage during removal and replacement.


Feuling Cam Chain Drive Sprocket

Factory sprockets can allow crankshaft timing variance. Feuling machines this sprocket from steel to ensure a tighter and more accurate fit.

Benefits include:

  • Eliminates crankshaft play

  • Improves cam timing accuracy

  • Removes timing variance found in stock sprockets

  • Direct stock replacement design
