Baker Cable-Type Side Cover
The Baker Cable-Type Side Cover replaces the bulky factory side cover. As a result, it delivers a compact, performance-focused design for cable-operated Harley-Davidson transmissions.
Precision Billet Construction
Baker machines this side cover from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. In addition, CNC machining ensures strength, accuracy, and long-term durability.
Increased Exhaust Clearance
The compact profile reduces overall size. Therefore, this design improves exhaust clearance and supports performance exhaust systems and custom builds.
Transmission Compatibility
This side cover works with OEM and aftermarket transmissions. However, you can reuse the stock throwout bearing. For best results, Baker recommends the Heavy Duty Throwout Bearing Kit.
What’s Included
The kit includes the side cover, gasket, washers, and mounting hardware. As a result, everything needed for installation comes in the box.
Finish Options
Choose Gloss Black or Wrinkle Black. Both options deliver a clean look and durable protection.

HEAVY DUTY THROWOUT BEARING UPGRADE KIT:
People have been griping about the 37311-75 throwout bearing since it was introduced into Big Twins in 1975. Failures occur when the clutch cable is inadvertently adjusted with little to no free play. Performance clutches are even harder on that little bearing. The BAKER Heavy Duty Throwout bearing kit was developed to address the failures of the stock clutch throwout bearing in 1987-up applications with the ball-and-ramp actuator and the larger thrust bearing features a 97% greater surface area and 77% greater static load capacity than the stock bearing.
