We frequently get questions via email, at events and in our shop in regards to clutch upgrades. Some motorcycles have a clutch lever that is tiring to pull in and gets especially difficult for riders that do most of their riding in city limits and get hand fatique from pulling the clutch in over and over.  Some motorcyclists have hand or wrist issues that makes the constant pulling in of a clutch lever a challenge.   One of the most common issue is that the factory clutch is worn out either from lots of mileage or more horsepower than the stock clutch can handle.

INTRODUCING THE NEW REKLUSE MANUAL SLAVE CYLINDER FOR M-EIGHT TOURING AND TRI-GLIDE MODELS

Rekluse is releasing this month a new product for 2017-Newer Hydraulic Milwaukee Eight Touring models and Tri-Glides.  The Rekluse Manual Slave Cylinder reduces the clutch lever pull on Harley-Davidson® Milwaukee-Eight® models without compromising clutch performance.  In other words, it reduces the length that you have to pull your clutch lever in before your clutch engages. This is a great upgrade for those who are not ready for a complete clutch upgrade.  You can use thie Rekluse Manual Slave Cylinder for now and then when you have completed a high performance build and need a stronger clutch or you are ready to free up your clutch hand with the RadiusX clutch system you can.  This product is even more maximized when used with a Rekluse Torqdrive clutch.

Also releasing this month are two great clutch upgrades for Sportster models.  They fit all 1995-Newer Sportster models except XR1200.  Both kits provide more disks in less space, adding up to 4 additional frictions disks to the clutch pack over the 8 stock disks. More frictions = more torque capacity thus unlocking the full power of your engine without the need to add stiffer pressure plate springs or a lock up device.  Proven in racing at the highest levels, it’s not just good, it’s revolutionary. RADIUSX AND TORQDRIVE CLUTCH KITS FOR ALL HARLEY MODELS

The RadiusX Clutch and the Torquedrive clutch for all Harley models has been around for many years now with great success.  The RadiusX clutch is an automatic clutch that allows a rider to let out their clutch hand while the motorcycle is in gear when at a stop light or in stop and go traffic.  The Torqdrive is a replacement clutch that is superior over stock clutches and designed for high horsepower builds.  Watch the video below for more information on the RadiusX Clutch.  Both clutches are available for most year and models of Harley Davidson motorcycles.

 

REKLUSE DERBY COVERS AND FACTORY FORMULATED PRIMARY OIL

Rekluse has a couple of derby covers available for all Harley Models.  Not only are the derby covers good looking, they can also alert a mechanic that is familiar with Rekluse that the motorcycle may have an upgraded clutch kit or alert someone who has just purchased the motorcycle that a clutch upgrade may have been done .  Why is this important?  The Rekluse RadiusX clutch can function as a stock clutch but has some features that could be a safety issue if the rider is not aware the motorcycle has an automatic clutch, i.e. the motorcycle can roll while parked in gear.  The RadiusX Clutch should not be put on a dyno for testing or tuning.  Damage could occur to the clutch.  Quality primary oil should be used with an upgraded clutch system such as Lucas Motorcycle Primary Chaincase oil or the Rekluse Factory Formulated Primary Oil that is designed for use with their clutch systems or other OEM kits.
